House Policies.

 

Check in/out times.

You are able to check in from 3.00pm to 9.00pm.

Please note earlier/later arrivals are strictly by arrangement only.

Please make your room available between 10.00am and 2.00pm, to allow for servicing.  Check out is by 10.00am please on the day of departure.

Breakfast is served between 7.45am and 9.00am unless previously arranged otherwise.  All breakfasts are cooked to order.

Cancellation/Curtailment of bookings.

For cancellations more than 7 days before the day of arrival, your deposit will be returned (minus a £5 administration fee).  For cancellation within 7 days of arrival, no deposit will be returned unless we can re-let the room.  However, to avoid this situation we will make every effort where possible to re-sell the room and re-imburse your debit/credit card accordingly. 

Any guests who fail to arrive, without prior notification, will be charged the full amount for the first night.

In the event of any guests deciding to cut short their stay, the full balance owing, for the period booked, will be payable.


Liability.

The Guest House will not accept liability in respect of any loss or damage to articles brought into the guest house or left in our car park.

Car Park.

We have private car parking for 4/5 cars, at the rear of the property.
Vehicles are parked at your own risk

Smoking Policy.

The Glyn Afon is strictly a non-smoking establishment, with smoke detectors in all rooms.  Whilst we do not wish to discriminate against smokers, anyone found to have smoked within the building will be asked to pay their bill and leave immediately.  A charge of at least £50 will be made to assist in the cleaning of the room.

Children

Glyn Afon is a retreat for adults looking for a break without children.  Minimum age is sixteen.

Access Statement.

This access statement is a description of the situation at The Glyn Afon: -
Set on the high street there is public on road parking to the front (time limits are in operation from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm) and our own private parking at the rear.
Access from the rear car park to the building is via a small walk around the Building to the front door.
Front door entrance has one small step to main hallway. Ground floor is level throughout, with breakfast room.

All guest bedrooms are on the first and second floors, access is by stairs only, and there is no lift.

We have an additional separate toilet on the 1st floor.

Guest bedrooms are centrally heated with adjustable thermostatic radiators.
During the night, emergency help can be summoned by ringing the bell in the main hallway, ringing the doorbell or calling the house phone number .
